I was thinking over the weekend about how we continue to drive the culture here within Education Leeds...

It's still about action, training, coaching and innovation and we must continue to:
  • lead by example;
  • put people first;
  • manage by wandering around;
  • develop transparency and openness;
  • get the basics right;
  • keep it simple;
  • remember that the little things matter!

Langauge is so important. 'Driving' culture? A senior management team pushing through changes - or co creating change in partnership with a group of skilled and committed employees?

Once we start to 'drive' culture we develop a culture that requires 'driving' - which is rarley what we set out to achieve.
